Avani Lekhara (Born 8 November 2001 in Jaipur, Rajasthan) is an Indian Paralympian and rifle shooter. She won a gold medal in 10m Air rifle standing at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.[1] Lekhara is currently World No 5[2] in Women's 10m Air Rifle standing SH1 (World Shooting Para Sport Rankings) and has competed in the 2018 Asian Para Games.[3][4][5][6] She has been supported by GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme.[7]

Lekhara is India's first woman to win a Paralympic Gold Medal, and achieved this feat at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games while also setting a new Paralympic Record and equaling the World Record.
