The black cuckoo-dove (Turacoena modesta), also known as the slaty cuckoo-dove is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is endemic to Indonesia and East Timor where it occurs on the islands of Timor and Wetar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
