Mattampally is a mandal in the Nalgonda district, Andhra Pradesh, India, located 180 kilometres (110 mi) from Hyderabad, 13 km from the banks of the Krishna River.[1]

Education

Mattampally has schools, including the V.V.H.S, Government Primary School,[2] Gurukula Baalikala Patashala and St. Ann's High School. Where all these are Telugu medium schools, St.Mary's school is the first English medium school in the mandal.

Religion

Mattampally is multireligious place with Hindus, Christians and Muslims in residence. Kanakadurga Temple, Venugopalaswamy Devalayam and Shivalayam are some of the temples while Shubavartha Devalayam is the main church. Other churches include Balayesu Devalayam, Showrivari Alayam, Kanukamatha Devalayam and CSI church.

Agriculture

Mattampally is mainly an agriculture based village, where a variety of crops such paddy rice, chilli, cotton, and corn are produced.

Industry

Mattampally mandal has many cement factories, including the main manufacturing facility of Sagar Cements.[3]
