Commercial list
[edit]Just a note, Do we really want a company listing area in a town? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onepoint (talk • contribs) 19:13, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
The list appears an arbitrary directory of companies. If there is to be a list then the inclusion criteria needs to be explicit, see WP:LSC and WP:NOTDIRECTORY. I have moved it below for easy reference. Fæ (talk) 19:53, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Rewrites
[edit]This article and the Downtown Miami article may need a rewrite, both are kind of a hodge podge of info that has been concocted roughly by editors from different perspectives. Parts of the article can be summed up to make it a little more biased in favor of history and large events but not so much focusing on small/recent details. There might be too many photos, some of which aren't great quality, and some older photos that show the area better such as the earliest ones posted to the article have been removed. The photo to the right is also outdated already but is an example of a decent quality photo. The biggest issue with the current photos is that many are framed poorly. The Downtown article starts out as if it's only talking about the strict CBD, yet these days "Downtown Miami" generally refers to the whole greater downtown area east of 95 up to the Julia Tuttle. The image also shows just the Brickell skyline :picard: B137 (talk) 15:47, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
- This is still a good photo and it is hiding in a gallery at the bottom of the page. It still illustrates the geography better than any of the other photos. B137 (talk) 15:50, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
- I'm already working in the direction of creating a separate article for Central business district (Miami), or Downtown Miami (CBD), that is on the historic and "actual" downtown of Miami, not Downtown Miami. Recently I've worded building articles to be, "...in the Brickell district of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, U.S.A.," in which "Greater Downtown" pipe linked as "Downtown Miami". A lot of pages that link to Downtown Miami would need to be appropriately linked to the CBD article. In fact, there are plenty of instances of pages linking to Downtown Miami that should link to a specific neighborhood such as Brickell, Omni, and Edgewater. B137 (talk) 00:34, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- Can we begin the article with a clear and simple description of the boundaries of the Brickell neighborhood? Like in that first line ...urban neighborhood of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, United States Brickell lies South of the Miami River bordered by the bay on the east, I-95 on the west, and the Rickenbacker Causeway/SW 26th Rd to the south. 1305cj (talk) 19:34, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

new photo - higher up
[edit]Just uploaded this panorama of the neighborhood. I think the view from high up makes sense for the article, but there are already many photos. Pinging some of the top contributors to this article for your thoughts: @Comayagua99, B137, Averette, FrickFrack, and BrickellResident:. Thanks. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 18:34, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- That's a nice urban city view of Brickell with normal proportions. It shows almost exclusively Brickell towers without including downtown buildings. It's missing the notable south end of the skyline with the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, but that might require a panoramic composite. B137 (talk) 00:05, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- I think it's a great picture, looks good to me! Comayagua99 (talk) 03:08, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. Where in the article should it go? It's a bit higher quality than the current infobox, but on the other hand it doesn't include as much space. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 13:37, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Agree that it’s a great photo. It might work in the Economy section. FrickFrack 19:49, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

Also FYI uploaded a night version. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 15:25, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- The day one is better, though Panorama Tower looks nicer at night. Brickell financial district should almost be renamed to the Brickell residential district. There's hardly a couple office buildings visible, only one of them new (830 Brickell), among the majority condo towers now. The Brickell#Economy section has room and could also mention this.
