Karki is a Chhetri aristocratic title from Nepal and a Kumaoni Rajput clan in Uttarakhand.[3][4]

Karki as title

Karki was a title given to high ranking nobles and administrators during the Malla and Shah periods.[1] The sub-clans of Karki Chhetris are:[5]

  • Lama Karki (Shreepali Karki)

  • Sutar Karki
  • Khulal Karki
