Painkili (transl. Parrot) is a 2025 Indian Malayalam language family film, written by Jithu Madhavan and directed by Sreejith Babu in his directorial debut. The film stars Sajin Gopu, Anaswara Rajan and Roshan Shanavas in lead roles.[1][2] The film, jointly produced by actor Fahadh Faasil and director Jithu Madhavan was released on 14 February 2025 coinciding, the Valentine's Day.[3] The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics.
Plot
[edit]Painkili is the story of Suku, who fakes insanity to escape the clutch of law. While he was faking insanity, he really falls in love.

Production
[edit]The first look poster with the title of the film was released on 1 December 2024 with actor Sreejith Babu as the director, his debut film.[4][5][6][7] The second look poster was released on 20 January 2025.[8] The first single of the film 'Heart attack....' was released on 29 January 2025.[9][10] with a tagline 'A Justin Varghese angioplasty'. The song was written by Vinayak Sasikumar and sung by Fejo. [11][12]
