Koduri Yuvaraj Shourya Simha, known professionally as Shouryuv, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema.[1][2][3] He made his directorial debut with the film Hi Nanna (2023), which became commercial success,[4] and earned him a Filmfare Award and a SIIMA Award.
Early life
[edit]Shouryuv born in Visakhapatnam completed his MBBS at Maharajah Institute of Medical Sciences in Vizianagaram. He later moved to Hyderabad to pursue a career in filmmaking.[5]
Career
[edit]Shouryuv worked under the mentorship of V. Vijayendra Prasad and also worked on the films like Jaguar (2016) and Adithya Varma (2019).[6][7]
In 2023, he directed his first feature Hi Nanna starring Nani, Mrunal Thakur and Shruti Haasan.[8] The film became a commercial success at the box office and earned praise from critics. Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu wrote, "Shouryuv’s drama is a breather amid larger-than-life action entertainers."[9] and Neeshitha Nyayapati of Hindustan Times wrote, "Shouryuv’s debut film is an emotional drama that’ll tug at your heart, both with its performances and storyline."[10] Allu Arjun congratulated the team and praised Shouryuv on his directorial debut, describing it as "impressive".[11][12]
