Early History of North Plains, Oregon

After 1874, John (Johann) Joos ( DOB:12/4/1848 Constance, Switzerland) and Elizabeth Langohr-Joos (DOB: 1/21/1849 Griesalsfelt,Germany/Switzerland) settled the new town of North Plains. John Joos was the brewmaster for Henry Weinhart's beer in Portland, OR. Other income for the Joos family was the new business of the 'North Plains Flour Mill'.
