name

name is your username or the name by which you wish to be known; if nothing is specified, the base page name (here "User grieving") is used

pronoun

pronoun is typically either "his", "her", or "their" (your gender-appropriate third-person possessive determiner) – if no pronoun is specified but the user has indicated their gender in their settings here, then the appropriate pronoun is used; otherwise, the gender-neutral form "their" is used.

short

Optional; passing any value to |short= will remove everything after "may be affected" in the message.

image

No parameter = If no image parameter is given the template uses the default image, [[File:Sunset at Huntington Beach.jpg]].
An image = Should be an image with usual wiki notation. For example:
image = [[File:A Silhouette of Sadness.jpg|40px|link=WP:WB]]

imageright

No parameter = If no image parameter is given the template uses the default image, [[File:Evstafiev-bosnia-sarajevo-funeral-reaction.jpg]].
An image = Should be an image with usual wiki notation. For example:
image = [[File:Genova-Staglieno-DSCF8984.JPG|100px|link=Grief]]

style

Optional CSS values used by the entire message box table. Without quotation marks " " but with the ending semicolons ;. For example:
style = background-color: black;

textstyle

Optional CSS values used by the text cell. For example:
textstyle=color: white;
