HU Brussels
[edit]This is a new university in Belgium: Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel.Christo jones (talk) 19:10, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- That's not a new university, it is a cooperation of the Dutch-speaking Catholic University of Brussels (which is not a "real" university, as you can only obtain a bachelor's degree, and you have to go to Leuven to get a master's) and a number of Hogescholen (Colleges). Pevernagie (talk) 20:32, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- We must list HUB instead of KUB. If you look at the legal status[1] and at the article for the Catholic University of Brussels it's clear that the KUB has merged into a new institution. The issue of whether or not it teaches at the postgraduate level does not effect the definition of it being a university. However, it clear does teach masters courses as well[2]. --Duncan (talk) 19:21, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
One university, one entry?
[edit]Can we please only put stuff on this template if they are actually a university ? There was a mention of a specific campus on the list, it shouldnt be like that, many universities have more than one campus. Leprecon (talk) 18:12, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- Of course do many universities have more than one campus, but this 'campus' is situated in a completely different city. It's a university founded as a department of the KUL, and it should certainly be mentioned in this template. Wikifalcon (talk) 18:23, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- I am not so sure. Vlerick, for example, has a campus in Ghent and a campus in Leuven. Even so, two articles would not be needed. In this case the other KUL campus has quite a detailled article. If we need a separate article for it, then that (for me) is the rationale for having it in the template. I think the better rule of thumb is one university, one entry. --Duncan (talk) 19:26, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
International institutions in Brussels
[edit]How about Boston University, Versailus College and the University of Kent in Brussels? Should we add them? --Duncan (talk) 19:27, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
