Robert Principal Leitch (c. 1828 - 1882) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was Richard Leitch.
His mother was elizabeth Hardie.
Richard Leitch was born on 11 October 1806.
Or son of William Leighton Leitch:
His father was the artist William Leighton Leitch (2 November 1804 - 25 April 1883) from Glasgow.
His mother was Susanna Smellie (born c. 1803) from Lasswade in Midlothian.
Richard Pettigrew Leitch was born in 11 October 1827 in Auchinleck, Ayrshire.[3][4]
