David Scott Murray (11 March 1866 - 15 November 1935) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was Peter Murray (4 March 1836 - 18 July 1906), a manager of a weaving factory from Lochee, Dundee.

His mother was Margaret Lindsay Smith (30 September 1835 - 31 October 1872) from Dundee. Peter and Margaret married on 8 December 1859 in Dundee. Peter remarried Agnes Henderson on 21 April 1874.

David Scott Murray was born on 11 March 1866 in Dundee, Angus.[7]

He married Margaret Davidson, the second daughter of George Davidson. They married on 7 August 1894 in Carriden.
