Are excerpts OK? 69.116.150.174 01:48, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
As far as texts go, it would be best if you just read it and rewrote it in your own words. Obviously direct citations of published works, speeches etc are acceptable within fair use. Check out this for more information, and feel free to ask me on my talk page if you have any questions. Haakon 00:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Empty edits
Are considered to be vandalism as well, as they waste other editors' time. Please don't do it. OhNoitsJamieTalk 23:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- It appeared as if you were making empty edits just to add a new revision (that would show up under recent changes). I apologize for the misunderstanding. OhNoitsJamieTalk 17:54, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Jacob Arabo
Good catch on that. What you can do if you find something like that is rather than tag it, revert it back to the last good version or just remove the offending sections. Take a look at Wikipedia:Copyrights, the section is If you find a copyright infringement. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 23:32, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Good job!
Great job catching that linkspammer anon. :) --Ashenai 22:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: Enta Da Stage
I just think alternating the pictures side to side looks better, plus the way the first picture on the "Conception" area was right under the infobox and left a big space between the "Conception" title and the text. Plus, the star ratings you put on ain't right, the Source link shows a "4 Mic" rating and you put it back to 4 1/2 stars, and I clicked the Sputnik link and it had a 5 Star rating, but you have it at 4 1/2. --PDTantisocial 23:31, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
The Wire
Thanks for reformatting the episode list, it looks better now. Are you interested in helping out with individual episode articles for the show? --Opark 77 07:34, 12 July 2006 (UTC) Thanks for your help, always need someone to clear up the trail of debris I leave! --Opark 77 07:15, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application
Dear East718,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that for security reasons, VandalProof's creator requires its users to have made 250 edits to mainspace articles, which you have not (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 15:56, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the barnstar
Thanks very much for my barnstar. I'm glad you like The Wire section. --Opark 77 08:51, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Leah 2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Leah 2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

The Wire
I don't mind reverting to the cite template. We can keep it that way if you think it is easier. Andrew Levine 18:36, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Re:warning
The section I removed in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict article was utterly unencyclopedic. It was completely inappropriate to re-add the section as it was more akin to a poorly-written editoral than anything one should find in an encyclopedia, furthermore there are no no reliable sources for it and there has been discussion on the article's talk page about removing it. Also my removal of the small section in the Ethnic cleansing article can hardly be called a "blank out of an entire section", since it is an obviously disputed situation that has been discussed endlessly, with a small amount of editors determined to continously re-add it. I am sorry but it is very difficult to assume good faith in your motives since the warning seemed very incongruent with my actions and you seemed very choosy in what article's you pointed out.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 18:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do you think you could revert yourself on the ethnic cleansing article? I just do not want to make it appear as if there was a small edit war there.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 19:13, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Apology accepted
Actually, I wasn't even aware of what happened; it seeme the bullets are flying again, metaphorically speaking. +ILike2BeAnonymous 19:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

TOC on The Wire
I'm afraid I've removed the floating of the TOC on The Wire. I personally preferred it floated right but after seeing that it was drawing a lot of criticism I checked the guidelines for TOC and headers and found that it's not really appropriate. There are links to the appropriate guidelines at the FAC discussion page. Hope you enjoy your break.--Opark 77 21:32, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Television Barnstar
The WikiProject Television Barnstar | ||
I would like to award you this television barnstar for your hard work in getting The Wire (TV series) to featured article status on behalf of wikiproject television.--Opark 77 16:53, 24 August 2006 (UTC) |
Thanks again for your massive contributions to getting this to featured article status.
logical fallacies
I saw that you worked on argumentum ad crumenam and argumentum ad lazarum, do you think that they merit their own pages, or might you be in favor of merging them into a more inclusive page of genetic fallacies. My concern is becuase they are informal, it is easy to create endless fallacies when really a broader few would do much better. In the long-term, organizing the loads of pages that deal specifically with formal and informal fallacies could work really well for an arrangement that would truly aid the user. Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. Recently, I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. I am now writing to usernames on the hiphopWP who might be interested in helping with the punkmusicWP. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk as has been done well with hip hop. Finally, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). Please check it out and voice your opinion. Xsxex 09:04, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:5278.jpg)
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:5278.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 16:45, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Wire episodes
The quotes have got to go. They're based on spolier information that was illegally leaked, and we must not look to be a party to that. If, as you say, there is any more info on upcoming episodes (besides what HBO, Simon, and the rest of the staff have officially revealed) it needs to be removed.
