Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. I have been rather obsessed with James Frederick Ferrier for the past couple years. I see that you are the most recent editor of Wikipedia's "James Frederick Ferrier" page. Names in Personnel lists

[edit]

Hi GregK123. I just reverted part of your edit at I've Got My Own Album to Do, citing the guideline at MOS:ALBUM#Personnel: "The names should always be linked if an article exists." I notice you've removed similar links in other album articles – it would be much appreciated if you could undo those changes yourself. Many thanks, JG66 (talk) 15:33, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, PS: Please note also that spaced ens should be used as separators (between names and contributions), not hyphens. Just happened to see your edit at Japanese Tears. JG66 (talk) 15:36, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Conspicuous Only in Its Absence, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Live (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Universal Men, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CBS Records (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Subheadings using semicolons

[edit]

Hi. Please don't use semicolons to bold subheadings. Please read WP:PSEUDOHEAD if you haven't already, which I linked to in my reverts. It is no longer considered correct to use semicolons as a subheading for anything other than a description list (i.e. a dictionary definition or a single-line explanation after the semicolon heading). Also, semicolons hinder screen readers to understand what is a subheading and what is not. If you've used this semicolon-as-bold approach extensively on articles recently, I urge you to go back and undo your own edits as this has been the guideline for at least the better part of a year. Thanks. Ss112 16:16, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GregK123

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Martinevans123 (talk) 10:10, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GregK123, are you able to see this Talk page? There is a banner at the top of this page which says "has not edited Wikipedia since April 7, 2018." This is pretty clearly untrue. It might be a good idea to remove it? Many thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:25, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your points. I have taken note. Thanks again and have a good day 😊 94.196.154.160 (talk) 10:35, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Track listings

[edit]

Greetings. I'm seeing a lot of your bulk edits on music albums which have changed note= to either writer=, lyrics=, or music=. Template:Track listing, under the note= parameter, advises us to "Avoid redundancy: if all or most tracks on a record were written by the same person(s), consider using the all_writing option and using the noten options for any exceptions." To invoke a separate column just for one or a few tracks which had a different writer/lyricist looks ungainly and downright ugly. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 17:25, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh.. You've now made the same edit three times at Metal Fatigue. Revertsville for you until you explain why you're going against Template:Track listing. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 14:46, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Are you kidding me? Without my using insulting words, it's edits like this—plus your lack of talk page communication—which call into question your abilities as an editor. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:02, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Linking in names in album Personnel sections

[edit]

Hi. You might like to read WP:PERSONNEL, where it says: "The names should always be linked if an article exists ..." Therefore the likes of Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston should be linked in a personnel list in their album articles. Thanks, JG66 (talk) 16:05, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Will do :) GregK123 16:25, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
