Thank you, JJMC89.

Feel free to leave comments on my Talk page. I will try my best to contribute to editing of the Wikipedia, especially the pages related to mental illness and individual differences.

Control copyright icon Hello Volunt, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Semantic processing has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:04, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Complexity1 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/UrbanVillager. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Your reason here Please explain why I was blocked? I simply supported the other editors’ opinion –this is called “voting”. Isn’t it? If I know one editor personally, is it a crime, if I support their opinion and actually saw this film at its industry premiere? I am an adult, real person and not a puppet of Complexity1. Whoever submitted the request to block me, they rely on invalid information or arguments. Wikipedia shouldn't prevent me from editing if I simply agree with other editors and vote for their text to be added to the protected page.Volunt (talk) 03:21, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Ha, I am blocked!

[edit]

Dear Wikipedia readers, I am apparently blocked. I “had the nerve” to read and agree with some comments on the Russians at War page. I had to repeat the same point many times (about a poorly written Controversy section of that page because the extended editor continued ignoring my comment). The fact that I agreed with the arguments of other editors (and so repeated them) somehow wasn’t considered as voting - I was assumed to be a sockpuppet :):) I also feel sorry for Complexity1, he is a nice honest guy who stays away from fights, likes anti-war films and simply promotes knowledge. Shame on Wikipedia for suppressing valid information under the pressure of Ukrainian propaganda.

So, here is the bottom line:

1) If the page is protected, and only extended editors can edit it, they rule the party. When an occasional editor submits additional text or comments to those editors, this text dare not repeat what has been submitted by others. Therefore, even though the page is the battle ground, there is no voting on opinions here. If you agree with the submissions of occasional editors, echoing their opinions and using their text, you will be considered a sockpuppet of those editors.

2 You are not allowed to know each other, or to meet, say, in the same office or at the same festival, watching the film in question. It’s ok if the extended editors in charge didn’t see the film and have no clue as to what they are talking about (the film is still prohibited world-wide, so they didn’t). But it is not ok for occasional editors to make changes to the page regarding this film even though these small editors actually saw the film and might know details around its production. Now, since I repeated the same “knock on the door” four times, I am blocked. Lovely. This paves the way to misinformation and suppresses any desire for us, as occasional editors, to contribute true information to this platform.
