Vivian Dsena (born 28 june1988) is an Indian actor and former model who predominantly works in Hindi television. Dsena is considered one of the most popular Hindi television actors in india. He is known for his shows like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Sirf tum.
Dsena made his acting debut with kasamh se in 2008.[1] He later received wider reach for his portrayal of Abhay raichand in pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. He established himself as a successful leading actor by playing Rishabh Kundra the superstar in Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek junoon and Harman Singh in Shakti- Astitva ke ehsaas ki. His performances have earned him accolades including two Indian television Academy award, two Gold award, three golden petal and Asian viewers television awards.[2]
He also participated in reality shows like khatron ke khiladi 7, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaja 8 and Bigg Boss season 18. Vivian Dsena entered the TV show Udaariyaan midway.[3] He was last seen as a guest in Laughter Chefs for Holi special episode with Rubina Dilaik.[4]
Early life and family
[edit]Dsena was born on 28 June 1988[5][6] at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India.[7] His mother is Hindu, while his father is a Christian.[5] Through his father, his grandfather was Portuguese while his grandmother was of British descent.[8] In an interview he stated that his mother was an athlete and his father a footballer, leading to his passion for football since the age of 10. He is a fan of the football player Lionel Messi.[9] He passed the Madhya Pradesh State-Level Engineering Entrance Exam and initially pursued engineering.[10]

[edit]Vivian started his career in modeling as a Top - 10 contestant in the Gladrags Mr.India contest, 2007.[11]
Television debut and breakthrough
[edit]As a television actor Vivian debuted in 2008 with Ekta Kapoor's television series 'Kasamh Se' by playing the role of Vicky jai Walia on Zee TV.\[citation needed] This was followed by his next project 'Ganga' which was aired on Colours where he played the role of Shivam.
Pyar Ki Ek Kahani
[edit]He played a 200 year old vampire named Abhay Raichand in the Indian supernatural series, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani on Star One. This show is an Indian version of the Twilight saga.[12]
Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon
[edit]Vivian played Rishabh Kundra in the romantic drama Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.[13]
Shakti and Sirf tum

vivian role in the show shakti- astitva ke ehsaas ki was a significant factor in its success, with the show' unique storyline and compelling storytelling winning over viewers and achieving milestones like 500 and 700 episodes.[14][15] "Shakti" ran for 3 years, completing 700 episodes, and became the fourth longest-running show on Colors TV.
in 2021, he starred in sirf tum romantic television series alongside eisha singh.[16][17] it was broadcast on colors tv and voot now jio hotstar from 15 november 2021 to 16 september 2022, and while it was a typical drama with romance and power play, it was considered a success, with 232 episodes.[18]

[edit]Dsena has been ranked in the 50 Sexiest Asian Men since 2015.[19] In 2015, Vivian made his debut on the list, securing the 5th spot. The following year, he climbed to 7th. In 2017, he ranked 4th. In 2018 Vivian ranked 2nd on the list.[20] In 2019 and 2021 he ranked 3rd in both years.[21][22]
Personal life

In 2013, Dsena married his Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani co-star Vahbiz Dorabjee but the couple filed for divorce in 2016.[23][24][25] The divorce was finalized in 2021.[26]
In 2022, Dsena married Nouran Aly, an Egyptian journalist. They have a daughter together. Dsena converted to Islam in 2019 and is a practicing Muslim.[27][28] Before his conversion to Islam, he was a Christian.[29]
Dsena often gets criticized, especially after his divorce from his first wife, which led to many negative rumors spreading about him. Even to this day, he continues to face criticism.[30]
Sports
[edit]Dsena has also been a national-level football player.[31][32] He has also been a part of the All Star Football Club, a celebrity football club that raises funds for charity.[33] Dsena was seen playing football with other celebrities in the All Stars Footy League 2023.[34]
